The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team kicked off its season with a 4-2 victory at Kishwaukee on Saturday.

The Chargers, who led 2-1 at halftime, got two goals and an assist from freshman Guylberson Camille (Key West, Fla./Key West) in the victory.

Sandburg opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a goal from Pedronel Herrera (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Claret), and Camille added his first of the match just two minutes later for a 2-0 lead.

After the Kougars got on the board in the 35th minute, Camille assisted Danilo Arsic (Berlin, Germany/Friedrich-Ebert) for a goal in the 67th minute to push Sandburg’s lead back to two. Kishwaukee cut the Chargers’ lead to 3-2 in the 79th minute, but Camille added his second goal in the 86th minute off a feed from Arsic.

Iker Sanchez (Miami, Fla./Immaculata LaSalle) earned the win in net for Sandburg, which totaled 15 shots.
